Terms of service and sale
These terms apply to your use of simplecopytools.com and to every order you place with Simplecopytools LLC (“we”, “us”), 2345 Cobb Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080, USA. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. If you are ordering for a business, you confirm you can bind it.
Our services
We write marketing copy: website, landing page, sales page, email, product description, blog, brand messaging and ad copy, plus a copy audit and a monthly retainer. Each package has a page describing what it includes, its price, its delivery time in business days and the number of revision rounds. That page, as shown when you ordered, is the scope of your order.
Orders and prices
- Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Sales tax is added where it applies.
- An order is placed when you complete checkout. We confirm it by email within 1 business day, along with the kickoff date. We may decline an order, for instance if the scope doesn’t fit the package, and if we do, you pay nothing.
- Monthly items are billed monthly, with the first month charged at checkout. You can cancel before the next billing date. Cancelling stops future billing and doesn’t refund a month in progress, except as the Refund policy says.
- Work outside the package scope is priced separately and agreed in writing before we start it.
What we need from you
Delivery depends on what you send us. You agree to give us accurate information, the materials we ask for and timely feedback. If materials or feedback arrive late, the delivery date moves by the same number of days. We will tell you the new date.
Delivery and revisions
Delivery times are in business days (Monday to Friday, excluding US federal holidays), counted from kickoff. Priority start, where bought, moves the start of work to within 2 business days of your order and doesn’t shorten the writing time. Each package includes the revision rounds stated on its page. A round is one set of consolidated comments from you and our changes in response. A change of direction after you’ve approved a draft, or a request outside the scope, is new work and is priced separately.
Ownership and licence
When you’ve paid in full, you own the final copy we deliver and can use, change and publish it anywhere. Until then, we keep ownership and you may not publish it. We retain ownership of our working notes, templates and methods. We will not reuse your copy for another client, and we will not name you as a client or publish your project without your written permission.
Your content and warranties
You own the materials you give us and confirm you have the right to give them to us. You are responsible for the claims your business makes in marketing, for example about products, prices, results and legal compliance in your industry. We write from the information you give us and ask where we can’t verify something, but we don’t verify every fact. Review all copy before you publish it.
Original work and tools
We write original copy for you. People write it, and a second pass edits it. We may use ordinary software for research, spelling, grammar and formatting. Because we write to your brief and your market, some phrases may resemble other published text. If you find a concern, tell us and we will review it.
No guarantee of results
We don’t guarantee rankings, traffic, conversions, sales or any other result. Marketing results depend on many factors outside our control, such as your product, price, audience, advertising and site.
Refunds and cancellation
Cancellation and refunds are covered in our Refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
Payment
Payment is due at checkout. Card details are handled by our payment provider and aren’t stored on our servers. While the site’s checkout is in test mode, no real payment is taken and we’ll contact you to arrange payment before work starts. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may pause work until it is resolved.
Confidentiality
We treat the non-public information you give us as confidential and use it only to do the work. If you need a signed non-disclosure agreement, email us before sending the material.
Use of the website
Use the site lawfully. Don’t try to interfere with it, scrape it at scale, probe it for vulnerabilities, or submit false or abusive messages. The text, design and graphics of the site belong to us or our licensors. You may link to the site, but you may not copy it. The spec rewrites on the Work page are our own sample work and may not be republished.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from the site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Disclaimer
The site is provided “as is”. Except as these terms say, we make no warranties, express or implied, to the extent the law allows.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts for Cobb County, Georgia, and you and we consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. Before starting a dispute, please email us so we can try to resolve it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version published when you place an order applies to that order. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
