Brief
The brief
Harbor & Wick is a fictional small-batch candle shop. Its three bestsellers use the supplier's text. The owner wants them to sound like one person who makes candles by hand.
Harbor & Wick, and its products, are fictional. Specs shown are invented for this sample.

Editor's notes
Before and after
Before
- Cedar:
A beautiful candle that will elevate your home. Premium quality soy wax. Perfect gift. - Sea Salt:
A stunning candle with a fresh ocean scent. Long burning. Great for any occasion. - Fig:
A luxurious candle crafted with the finest ingredients. Transform your space.
After
- Cedar. Hand-poured soy candle in a 220 g glass jar. Burns about 45 hours. Smells like cut cedar and a wet stone path.
- Sea Salt. Hand-poured soy candle in a 220 g jar. Burns about 45 hours. Smells of cold air off a harbor, with a little driftwood.
- Fig. Hand-poured soy candle in a 220 g jar. Burns about 45 hours. Fig leaf more than fig fruit: green, a bit bitter, good in a kitchen.
Why
Why it works
- Each page now has the same structure, so the shop sounds like one maker.
- Specs sit in the first sentence, where comparison shoppers look.
- Smell is described with things people have smelled.
Say how it smells. Skip the word "luxurious".
